What is the difference between the different materials of Lamella clarifier?

Lamella clarifier are structures in wastewater treatment that utilize the principles of sedimentation and filtration to settle suspended matter in the water. In terms of design, they can be divided into two types: gravity and inclined plate. Gravity type is to use gravity to make the suspended material sink. In wastewater treatment, circular gravity sedimentation tanks and square gravity sedimentation tanks are commonly used. Circular gravity sedimentation tank does not require additional power in the treatment process, which can reduce the footprint and save investment costs; however, the amount of water handled cannot be too large, or else the sludge expansion phenomenon is likely to occur. Square gravity sedimentation tank, as the name suggests, is made into a square shape, which is also known as the inclined plate sedimentation tank. Compared with the circular gravity sedimentation tank, the square wastewater treatment equipment is more economical in terms of floor space and investment cost. Below is a description of the different materials of the Lamella clarifier. More often than not, the appropriate material will be selected according to the engineering design requirements.

Advantages and disadvantages of Lamella clarifier made of stainless steel

Stainless steel is a kind of alloy material with excellent performance, which is widely used in daily life. Stainless steel is mainly composed of chromium, nickel, manganese, chromium and other elements, which have excellent corrosion resistance. According to different applications, stainless steel can be categorized into two types: general stainless steel (201, 304, 316) and high-strength stainless steel (304, 316L). According to the International Organization for Standardization ISO, they belong to the product range of hygienic standards for domestic drinking water. As a result, stainless steel has higher strength and hardness, is less prone to rust, is easier to clean, and is safer for daily use. In addition, they can be used in medical equipment due to their good resistance to corrosion and erosion.

Although stainless steel is characterized by corrosion resistance, high strength, and easy to clean, its high temperature resistance is poor. When the temperature is higher than 100 ℃, there will be a certain degree of change. In industrial wastewater treatment, corresponding measures must be taken to solve this problem. For the problem of too high or too low temperature generated in the process of industrial wastewater treatment, corresponding temperature control measures should be carried out. At present, the most commonly used method is to regulate the temperature difference between the pool and the reaction pool or the relationship between the temperature difference and the residence time to achieve this purpose.

What is the difference between the different materials of Lamella clarifier?

FRP is a composite material made of glass fiber and its products as the main raw material, supplemented by a small amount of auxiliary materials, through mixing, winding and curing molding. With good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, insulation and non-toxicity, FRP is now recognized as one of the ideal materials in the world, and is widely used in chemical, electric power, metallurgy, petroleum and light industry.

Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) Lammergeier sedimentation tank adopts glass fiber as reinforcing material, which makes it light in weight, high in strength, corrosion-resistant and aging-resistant. Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) Lammergeier sedimentation tanks are mainly used in municipal wastewater treatment plants, which generally adopt cement or concrete structure. In the design and construction process of FRP Ranmera sedimentation tank, the following points should be noted:

  1. The FRP sedimentation tank with concrete structure should be treated with anti-seepage treatment;

  2. When prefabricated FRP members are used, bolting or welding should be selected according to the site conditions;

  3. When using on-site prefabrication, reasonable construction methods should be adopted to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment;

  4. Attention should be paid to the protection of FRP members and no unauthorized change of their structure and shape is allowed.

Advantages and disadvantages of Lamella clarifier made of carbon steel

Carbon steel material is used in the Lamella clarifier, which has good corrosion resistance, long life and high impact resistance. This is due to the characteristics of the carbon steel material itself.

Carbon steel Lamella clarifier has the advantages of good corrosion resistance, high strength and impact resistance. In addition, it has good mechanical properties and high tensile strength, easy to process and weld, and long service life. The sedimentation tank made of carbon steel is generally composed of two parts: the foundation, the wall, and the inner wall of the sedimentation tank. The wall is generally made of anticorrosive steel plate for the outer wall, and the outer wall has two ways of welding or flange connection. The foundation is usually made of concrete, and its size and height can be designed according to the actual situation and connected with the concrete foundation. The inner wall of the sedimentation tank is usually lined by cement mortar or gypsum board.
