From April 13 to 15, 2026, the 27th IE expo China was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. As Asia’s flagship environmental technology trade fair, this year’s event carried the theme “Connecting Global Opportunities, Exploring Emerging Drivers.” It brought together nearly 2,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, attracting over 90,000 professional visitors. Against the backdrop of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, carbon peaking & neutrality goals, and the accelerated construction of zero-waste cities, Yosun Environmental made a strong impression with its core products – most notably, a live, operating DAF unit that became a major attraction on the show floor.
On the first day, Yosun’s booth (W3 - G21) immediately drew attention. Unlike many exhibitors who displayed only models or panels, we brought an actual DAF unit and kept it running throughout the day. Visitors could watch the entire process: microbubbles forming, solid-liquid separation taking place, and the skimmer removing floated sludge.
“Seeing the machine actually work is far more convincing than looking at a brochure!” said a technical manager from an environmental engineering company in Jiangsu. Our engineers explained the working principles, technical parameters, and real-world applications right next to the operating unit, making it easy for customers to “see, understand, and trust.”
Also on display was the Lamella clarifier. With its unique inclined‑plate design, it significantly increases settling area. For the same treatment capacity, its footprint is only 1/5 to 1/3 that of a conventional sedimentation tank, and effluent SS can be stably kept below 30 mg/L. It has proven applications in surface treatment, textile printing and dyeing, landfill leachate treatment, and more.
On Day 2, Yosun’s booth continued to see strong traffic. Many visitors who had seen the live DAF on the first day returned with colleagues or technical teams for deeper conversations.
Topics covered included: real applications of the DAF unit in chemical, textile, and food processing wastewater; using the Lamella clarifier as an alternative for municipal wastewater plant upgrades; and combined process designs (DAF + clarifier + sludge dewatering) tailored to different water characteristics. Several customers expressed immediate interest, requesting detailed documentation and scheduling post-show factory visits or sample testing.
International visitors from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe also showed strong interest in Yosun’s products, reinforcing the company’s global competitiveness.
On the last day, overall foot traffic at the exhibition dropped noticeably. Yet at Yosun’s W3 - G21 booth, dedicated customers still made a point to come – some who had been unable to attend earlier due to schedule conflicts, others bringing colleagues for a final technical review.
The DAF unit, which had been running reliably for three days, continued to operate steadily, serving every visitor until the very end. Many took videos before leaving, saying, “This is so intuitive – I’ll show it to our management.”
Over the three days, Yosun’s team received hundreds of professional visitors, conducted dozens of one-on-one technical discussions, collected numerous project inquiries from industries including chemical, textile, food processing, and municipal sectors, and established initial contacts with multiple engineering companies, design institutes, and distributors.
With more than ten years of technical refinement, Yosun’s DAF unit features microbubbles of just 10–30 μm, a surface load as high as 10–30 m³/(m²·h), a gas‑liquid mixing efficiency exceeding 95%, and solid‑liquid separation efficiency of 80–97%. The live demonstration allowed customers to witness its high efficiency, stability, and energy savings first-hand.
Thanks to its unique inclined‑plate design, the Lamella clarifier occupies only 1/5 to 1/3 of the footprint of a conventional sedimentation tank for the same capacity, while delivering effluent SS consistently below 30 mg/L. It is especially suitable for space‑constrained projects and for upgrading municipal or industrial wastewater treatment plants.
