Taking a high-performance materials company in Fuzhou as an example, the company mainly produces high-performance chinlon fiber materials. Its production and subsequent cleaning processes will generate oily wastewater, which contains a large amount of highly emulsified oils and fats. According to data analysis, the main oil pollutants include mineral oil-based lubricants (such as white oil and liquid paraffin), fatty acid esters (such as fatty acid polyethylene glycol esters), non/anionic surfactants (such as emulsifier OP series and sulfonate), as well as silicone oil and polyether modified oil.

Based on the characteristics of wastewater and the requirements for dissolved air flotation operation, sufficient chemical demulsification is required during the pretreatment stage to achieve oil-water separation. Therefore, the process includes acid-base neutralization adjustment, emulsion breaking, coagulation and flocculation, and finally enters the dissolved air flotation unit for oil removal. Two phase project practice has shown that the dissolved air flotation process operates stably and has high removal efficiency in the pretreatment of such complex oily wastewater, with an oil removal rate of over 98%. Through the combination process of "chemical demulsification+air flotation microbubble adsorption", the difficult problem of chinlon wastewater pretreatment has been effectively overcome, significantly reducing the water pollution load and providing stable inlet conditions for subsequent biochemical treatment units.
