This case mainly introduces the installation of dissolved air flotation (DAF) process facilities in the upgrade and renovation project of the x water plant to deal with the adverse effects of low-turbidity and high-algae raw water on the water treatment process. Taking this project case as an example, it introduces the raw water quality of the water plant, the problems existing in the original method and the selection of the renovation process, the design of the dissolved air flotation process, the selection of dissolved air flotation equipment and matters of concern, and the actual operation effect.
Dissolved air flotation plays an important role in wastewater treatment process, used to remove impurities from wastewater generated by various industries, including suspended solids, organic matter, and inorganic matter, so that the treated wastewater meets the requirements for reuse or discharge.
Dissolved air flotation is composed of DAF system and main tank body. DAF system includes dissolved air vessel, solenoid valve, safety valve, pressure gauge, air compressor, reflux pump and releaser. Main tank body includes chemical reaction area, contacting area, separation area, sludge discharge tank and clean water area.
What is the flotation process in wastewater treatment?Lamella clarifier is a device used in wastewater treatment to filter and remove sludge. The principle is that under the action of gravity, solid particles are aggregated into larger particles, and solid particles in suspension are removed by prec
IntroductionThe lamella clarifier tank is an improved compact inclined plate sedimentation tank. The lamella clarifier tank adopts IPAL water treatment technology, by adding chemical agents such as PAC, suspended solids, colloids, and organic matter in the wastewater are condensed into larger partic
Nantong X Paper Co., Ltd. is located in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. It is a papermaking company that uses recycled paper as raw material. During the production process, the daily discharge of wastewater is 8,000 to 10,000 m3. The recycled paper of the company is mainly made of waste newspapers, waste board paper and waste book and magazine paper.
The shallow flotation-ozone-BAF combined process was used to carry out a pilot test on the effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank after biochemical treatment to provide reference data for the actual application of the process in the later upgrading and transformation project. The influent was the effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank, and the designed water volume was 50 m3/d. The operation results showed that under the conditions of 1350 mg/L polyferric dosing, 120 mg/L decolorant dosing, and 40 mg/L ozone dosing, the average total removal rates of COD and chromaticity were 65% and 80,% respectively. All effluent indicators met the direct emission limits of the "Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Textile Dyeing and Finishing Industry" (GB 4287-2012).
