The pressurized dissolved air method involves introducing compressed air directly into a dissolved air tank containing clean water or sewage. When the pressure reaches between 196 and 392 kPa, the air dissolves into the water, creating a saturated solution. This solution is then flushed into the flotation tank and decompressed. As a result, the dissolved gas overflows from the water and creates a water-air-particle three-phase mixed system. The bubbles formed have a diameter of only 10 to 100μm. These bubbles play a crucial role in removing pollutants from the water by forming scum that can be removed using equipment, thus purifying the entire water body. The air density in this process is minimal. When oil stains adhere to these bubbles, they float up, effectively cleaning the water.
The high-efficiency dissolved air flotation in this project is used to treat oily wastewater such as machining and cutting fluid. After treatment, the removal rate of oil, grease, suspended solids, etc., in the raw water is over 90%, significantly reducing the back-end processing load.
