1、Project Overview

2、Configured devices


To treat this petrochemical wastewater, our project is equipped with the following equipment:

  • 4 sedimentation tanks: used for the initial sedimentation of sewage, to remove suspended matter and some chemicals in the wastewater.

  • 2 spiral stackers: used for dehydration of sludge, to increase the solid content of sludge, to reduce the volume of sludge, and to facilitate subsequent treatment and disposal


3、The technology of sewage treatment


3.1、Process


3.1.1 Collection and pretreatment of wastewater: The daily treatment volume of the project is 10000 cubic meters, and the wastewater is divided into two parts for treatment, one with a water volume of 3000 cubic meters per day and the other with a water volume of 7000 cubic meters per day.


3.1.2. Dosing reaction: During the treatment process, chemical agents are added to remove the hardness of wastewater. The specific dosage is as follows:


- Chemicals Pharmacy added to the wastewater of  7000m ³:

  • Sodium hydroxide: 800 mg/L

  • Sodium carbonate: 50 mg/L

  • Polyferric sulfate: 30 mg/L

  • Sulfuric acid: 20 mg/L

  • PAM (water): 2 mg/L

  • PAM (mud): 5 kg/t absolute dry mg/L


- Chemicals Pharmacy added to the another wastewater of 3000m³:

  • Sodium hydroxide: 900 mg/L

  • Sodium carbonate: 250 mg/L

  • Polyferric sulfate: 30 mg/L

  • Sulfuric acid: 20 mg/L

  • PAM (water): 2 mg/L

  • PAM (mud): 5 kg/t absolute dry mg/L


3.1.3. Precipitate:

After adding chemicals, the wastewater enters the sedimentation tank and undergoes chemical reactions to produce magnesium hydroxide and calcium carbonate precipitates, further removing hardness and other suspended solids from the wastewater.


3.1.4. Treatment of sludge:

After sedimentation, the sludge is dehydrated by a screw stacking machine, and the volume of the sludge has been reduced, making it convenient for subsequent treatment.

5、Introduction of the equipments


5.1 Lamella Clarifier

It’s one of the core equipment in this project, mainly used to remove suspended solids and sediments produced by chemical reactions in wastewater. The design and material selection of each Lamella will ensure its high efficiency, durability and adaptability to the needs of petrochemical wastewater treatment.


5.2 Snail stacking machine

It is mainly used for dewatering sludge, with the advantages of small footprint and easy operation. Using the spiral stacker can more effectively increase the solid content of sludge and reduce the cost of sludge treatment.
