  • Dissolved air flotation technology for the paper mills
The pulping and papermaking process requires a large amount of production water. The wastewater generated by bleaching agents, fillers, and their reaction products are all pulping and papermaking wastewater. The primary sources of wastewater are the cooking waste liquid produced during the pulping and cooking process, the mid-stage wastewater produced during the middle stages of the pulping process (washing, screening, bleaching, and beating), and the paper machine white water produced during the papermaking process.   Read More>
  • Case Studies-Pilot Test Study on Deep Treatment of Printing And Dyeing Wastewater
The shallow flotation-ozone-BAF combined process was used to carry out a pilot test on the effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank after biochemical treatment to provide reference data for the actual application of the process in the later upgrading and transformation project. The influent was the effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank, and the designed water volume was 50 m3/d. The operation results showed that under the conditions of 1350 mg/L polyferric dosing, 120 mg/L decolorant dosing, and 40 mg/L ozone dosing, the average total removal rates of COD and chromaticity were 65% and 80,% respectively. All effluent indicators met the direct emission limits of the "Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Textile Dyeing and Finishing Industry" (GB 4287-2012).   Read More>
  • Case Studies-Shallow Air Flotation Process for Treating Recycled Paper Wastewater
Nantong X Paper Co., Ltd. is located in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. It is a papermaking company that uses recycled paper as raw material. During the production process, the daily discharge of wastewater is 8,000 to 10,000 m3. The recycled paper of the company is mainly made of waste newspapers, waste board paper and waste book and magazine paper.
When the optimal dosage of PAC and PAM in the shallow flotation section is controlled at 250 mg/L and 10 mg/L respectively, the SS removal rate can reach 94.56%, and the COD removal rate can reach 45.32%

  • Lamella Inclined Plate Clarifier Tank
IntroductionThe lamella clarifier tank is an improved compact inclined plate sedimentation tank. The lamella clarifier tank adopts IPAL water treatment technology, by adding chemical agents such as PAC, suspended solids, colloids, and organic matter in the wastewater are condensed into larger partic   Read More>
  • How lamella clarifier treat wastewater in our life?
What is the flotation process in wastewater treatment?Lamella clarifier is a device used in wastewater treatment to filter and remove sludge. The principle is that under the action of gravity, solid particles are aggregated into larger particles, and solid particles in suspension are removed by prec   Read More>

The development of dissolved air flotation has gone through the exploration stage in the 20th century, the technological maturity stage in the 1940s and 1950s, the technology application and promotion period after the 1960s, and the technological innovation and optimization period in the 21st century. The development of dissolved air flotation products has evolved from early diffuse air flotation to electrolytic air flotation to impeller air flotation and high-pressure dissolved air flotation. Looking forward to the future, dissolved air flotation will develop rapidly with the support of artificial intelligence and big data technology.

In oily sewage treatment projects, various air flotation processes are used to remove oil. The commonly used processes are pressurized dissolved air flotation, vortex air flotation, induced air flotation, and electrolytic flotation. This article aims to analyze and compare the features of these air flotation processes and discuss their applications and appropriate occasions for oil removal.
